Dr. C. Vivek Lal, MD, FAAP, is a double board-certified physician-scientist and entrepreneur specializing in biotic-driven therapeutics. He is a tenured Professor, Executive in Residence at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Director of the Microbiome & Discovery Labs, where his research focuses on therapeutics development for chronic lung diseases.
Dr. Lal is the Founder and CEO of resbiotic®, a precision microbiome company developing clinically validated, product-level therapeutics and supplements, and Founder of Alveolus Bio, a biotechnology company advancing inhaled biotherapeutics for respiratory diseases. His work bridges translational science and commercialization, with multiple patents, clinical trials, and partnerships focused on bringing first-in-class microbiome-based therapies to patients globally.
